Support us DUPLICATE

For over 200 years the Devon and Exeter Institution has been a centre for radical thinking and public education in Science, Literature and the Arts. Its collections date from the late 15th century with some items containing even earlier fragments. We need your support to help us to preserve the Institution and its remarkable collections for future generations and to continue to reach out to our membership and the wider community with our learning and engagement programmes. Below are some of the ways you can make a difference.

Make a donation now

Your donation will be a valuable contribution to the Devon and Exeter Institution and will help us to preserve our Grade II listed building and heritage collections.

It was with great sadness that we closed our doors in March due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In the spirit of the 19th century scientists who founded the Devon and Exeter Institution we adapted our learning and engagement programme so that we could continue to connect with our members and supporters online. We are looking forward to happier times but, like many cultural institutions, we face very challenging times ahead. With your support we know that we will be able to emerge from this time even more resilient and with a deeper appreciation for the Institution and the role it plays in our lives. We have a long and vibrant history and we want to ensure the Institution continues to inform, inspire and intrigue generations to come. Whatever you are able to give, thank you.
