Saturday 12 September – Make a Terrarium

Learn how to make a miniature garden with this fascinating craft.

All materials will be provided in this free session / booking essential / 5 places per workshop.

11am- 12pm – Children (5+) – Make a Terrarium

1pm – 2pm – Adults – Make a Terrarium

 

We will be observing enhanced hygiene procedures and maintaining social distancing  

This is an outdoor event and masks are optional

To ensure we are maintaining safe social distancing and number limits for events, we ask parent/carer to register their children and move to the parent/carer seating area adjacent to the garden

 

Wednesday 16 September – Heritage Outside tour

The DEI team will be offering external tours of our historic site.

Our tour includes areas not previously accessible to the general public and visitors will find out about the fascinating history of our building, parts of

which date from the 12th Century.

Tours are available from 1pm-4pm, tours every half hour.

Places are free and drop in / sign up on the day

 

Due to government guidelines we will need to take contact details for each individual participating. 

Meet outside the Institution at 7 Cathedral Close.   

If the current tour is busy, we will offer you a later time slot. 

The group size will be restricted to five people per guide and we will maintain social distancing throughout the tour.  

Tours suitable for all ages.

 

Saturday 19 September – Floral Fun

All materials will be provided in this free session / booking essential / 5 places per workshop

11am- 12pm – Children (5+) – Paper Bouquet Making Make paper bouquets inspired by the Institution garden Materials for the flowers will be supplied but please do bring along an old plastic bottle to recycle for a vase, if you wish.

1pm – 2pm – Adults – Botanical Masters Join us for an hour’s drawing in the Institution garden. Inspired by our collection of botanical dictionaries, we will be creating our own plant-themed masterpieces.
