Today’s invitation to create comes to you from the ‘Picturesque Excursions of Devonshire’ by T. H. Williams (1827)

Illustrated by the author, an artist, the book is made up in two volumes, ‘Views in Devonshire’ followed by ‘A tour to the North, then south of Devonshire’.
Completing the excursions by foot, the author describes local landmarks and areas of interest and aims to illustrate, “in slight sketches, the most striking scenery of Devon and Cornwall”.

Today’s invitation is to recreate a landscape from your own local excursions. This may be through your own sketches or painting or through photography or any other medium.
