Thirty members had a memorable day out in Lustleigh on 11 July.
A very full itinerary organised for us by the Lustleigh Society included tours of the village and Church and an introduction to the fascinating village archives.
After excellent lunches in the local pub and tearooms, many members undertook the walk to Sharpitor to view the original viewpoint of the Lustleigh Cleave painting while some hardy souls opted for a trip to the Kelly Mine.
The day ended with a splendid cream tea and the coach delivered us back to Exeter, tired but happy. Full marks to Sandra Bond and Geoff Roberts who organised the event this year!
