With our Adopt a Book gift package you can enjoy a unique experience in our historic library and contribute towards preserving our collections for future generations. Adopt a special book for a friend or loved one, and treat them to a private tour of the Institution followed by cream tea in the Courtenay Room.

What your gift package includes

an adoption certificate

The cost of this gift package is £45.

Adoption tours can be arranged anytime during our opening hours.

Choosing a book

Whether you choose a book by a favourite author or on a subject of interest, or a print or drawing, for example of a special place, it is your gift to give. You could adopt one of our suggested books, or search through our collections of books and prints and drawings online. If you cannot find what you are looking for please email us and we can help you find something to suit that special someone. If your choice of book or drawing has already been adopted we will suggest another option.
